This brooch is entirely handmade in fine silver using colloidal soldering, an ancient technique that dates back to the beginnings of goldsmithing. The front is built up with fused elements and beaded wire, inspired by Viking brooches in both pattern and technique, though the design itself is original and not a replica of any specific historical piece.
The clasp on the back is based on authentic Viking fastenings. It’s made in sterling silver for extra strength and durability, and soldered using a more traditional method. A small suspension loop is also included on the reverse, allowing you to attach a chain or accessory—just as was often done in Viking times.
